Cestino is a large and beautiful mid-century Murano basket, made in the heart of Murano in the early 1960s.
This delightful piece was designed using the refined technique of "filigrana".
This method of mouth-blowing is one of the most elegant decorative styles developed by Murano's master glassmakers, known in English as "filigree glass".
It was made with transparent glass rods containing straight white and blue glass threads inside, creating the effect of a delicate lace inside the glass wall.
You can feel the superb craftsmanship even by touching this precious glass.
It comes in perfect shiny condition, no matter how old it is.
It can be used as a tote bag to store your precious jewelry or to display your fresh fruit on the table.
