Villeroy & Boch Mettlach fine earthenware tête-à-tête tea set, Orléans pattern. Stamped "Made in France-Saar Economic Union". Vintage 1950s.
The set includes:
° a teapot (height 11.5 cm, volume 600 ml)
° a creamer (diameter 5 cm, height 6 cm, volume 100 ml)
° a covered sugar bowl (diameter 7 cm, height 9 cm)
° two (2) cups (diameter 9.5 cm, height 4.25 cm, volume 150 ml)
° two (2) saucers (diameter 13.5 cm).
In excellent condition (no damage, no signs of use, wear, or rubbing; gilding intact), except for a small spot on the bottom of the teapot, an old chip and a dent under the teapot lid, and some minor signs of use on the bottom of one cup. See the photos for details of these flaws.
