Product description
Moroccan vase in enameled ceramic, characterized by a globular silhouette placed on a high, flared pedestal. Its hand-painted decoration unfolds in several registers: cobalt blue grid, red, green and yellow rhombuses, friezes of dots and stylized motifs on a cream background. The variations in line and enamel testify to artisanal execution and give the whole a particularly lively graphic presence. The base bears an Arabic inscription painted in blue, appearing to read « فاس », or « Fès ». It could indicate the place of production or commercialization, without allowing a precise workshop to be identified. The piece is probably a Moroccan production from the second half of the 20th century. Height: 20 cm Width: 13 cm Depth: 13 cm Weight: 900 g Satisfactory vintage condition. Chips and enamel losses visible on the rim of the neck and around the foot, accompanied by punctual wear of the decoration. Surface irregularities are consistent with artisanal manufacturing. A colorful piece that will naturally find its place on a console, a shelf or among a collection of Mediterranean ceramics.
