Charming double candlestick in glazed ceramic from Vallauris, likely made in the 1960s.
The piece has a highly sculptural form with two arms designed to hold candles and a central openwork element evoking a stylized flame. It rests on a base decorated with the inscription "Fontaine de Vaucluse," reminiscent of typical souvenir productions from the region.
The glaze displays beautiful shades of deep brown and bright orange with drip effects characteristic of many Vallauris ceramics from this period. The object has a strong decorative presence and can be used as a candlestick or as a vintage decorative piece.
This type of ceramic was often sold in workshops and tourist shops in the South of France and today stands as a lovely example of decorative design from the 1950s to 1970s.
