A truly unique vintage armchair in Louis XV / Neo-Rococo style, completely transformed into a one-of-a-kind denim statement piece. The carved wooden frame was originally finished in a much darker colour. During the restoration, the wood was carefully sanded back to reveal its lighter, natural tone and the beautiful carved details of the frame. Old traces of woodworm were professionally treated and impregnated to protect the wood. The backrest construction was completely renewed, while the seat retains its original traditional sprung construction. The chair was then individually upholstered using carefully selected recycled denim jeans. Original seams, pockets, belt loops, worn areas and leather labels were deliberately incorporated into the design, making every part of the chair unique. Decorative brass-coloured upholstery nails complete the look. Even the back of the chair has been fully finished in denim, so it can be placed freely in a room and looks impressive from every angle. This is not a mass-produced piece, but an individually restored and redesigned chair combining a classical carved frame with contemporary denim upcycling. Perfect as a statement chair for a living room, dressing room, boutique, fashion showroom, studio, hotel, restaurant or creative interior. Condition: restored vintage condition. Frame: carved solid wood. Upholstery: recycled denim / jeans. Seat: original sprung construction retained. Backrest: completely renewed during restoration.
