About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This rare pair of Fly Line lounge chairs, designed by Giandomenico Belotti for CMP Padova, exemplifies Italian modernist design from the late 20th century. The chairs feature a striking architectural silhouette, defined by their continuous linear form and monochromatic palette. Constructed with a robust black tubular metal frame, the chairs are distinguished by their seat and backrest, which are tightly woven with black PVC cord. This material choice not only provides structural support but also creates a visually engaging, semi-transparent surface that plays with light and shadow. The minimalist design is characteristic of Belotti's approach, prioritising both form and function. The chairs remain in good condition, retaining their original structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. The black finish on the metal frames and the tension of the PVC cording have been well preserved, reflecting careful use over time. These lounge chairs are well-suited for contemporary or industrial interiors, offering a bold statement piece for a living area or study. Their sleek profile allows them to integrate seamlessly into spaces that value clean lines and modernist principles.
