Product description
This concerns the iconic Model 2142 armchair, designed in the 1960s by interior architect Arne Halverson and produced by P.I. Langlos Fabrikker in Stranda, Norway. This specific design model received the prestigious Norwegian recognition for industrial design in 1967 and is an absolute eye-catcher for lovers of Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian Modern interiors. The armchairs feature a solid oak frame and a load-bearing base of sturdy canvas. This has been remanufactured and stretched at a sailmaker's workshop. The style is organic, minimalist (flowing, natural silhouette, without sharp angles), and very comfortable thanks to the loose cushions and canvas suspension. The loose cushions are newly made. In short: a rare chair that combines beautifully with vintage furniture or in a modern, minimalist interior.
