Beautiful vintage coffee table model ‘TU04’, designed by Cees Braakman and produced by Pastoe as part of the well-known U+N series, marked. This series is also called the Japanese series. A fine example of Braakman's search for minimalist forms, clever constructions, and practical use. This piece comes from the original owners and was originally part of their wedding trousseau. Together with a CU06 cabinet and a matching dining set, the table was purchased at the time as part of one interior. A nice piece of history that is still connected to this item. In our workshop, the tabletop has been refinished, preserving its original appearance as much as possible. The characteristic wood grain is beautifully highlighted again, giving the top a warm, lively look. The frame is still in its original condition and has developed a beautiful patina over the years. The table seems simple at first glance, but the reversible top and the two compartments for reading material make it surprisingly practical. On one side, warm wood, on the other side, white Formica. This allows you to easily change the look. And handy: the Formica side is also ideal for children who sometimes color outside the lines. Sober, practical, and with an eye for detail. Summary: A cool piece of Dutch Design that not only looks beautiful but is also very practical. Fits both a vintage and a modern interior.
