Product description
French set consisting of three Limoges porcelain coffee cups, presented in their removable cup holders and on their pewter saucers. The cylindrical white porcelain cups are highlighted with a metallic rim and an elegant frieze of foliage. The pewter mounts feature a soberly molded surface, complemented by rocaille-style vegetal handles. The contrast between the whiteness of the porcelain and the gray patina of the metal gives the set a singular decorative presence. The cups bear the mark « LIMOGES », the initials « D C » and the mention « FRANCE », as well as a second partially erased circular mark. One saucer retains a label with the monogram « L H », guaranteeing the pewter's legal standard for table service. The manufacturers corresponding to these initials are not identified with certainty. The set appears to date from the second half of the 20th century. No apparent cracks or breaks on the porcelain. A set with character for a display cabinet, a crockery cabinet or a coffee table with classic and eclectic inspiration.
