This set of three hand-carved wooden cows by the Swiss brand Trauffer dates from the 1970s. The distinctive angular design and traditional painting make these figures recognizable collector's items within European folk art. The figures, one larger and two smaller cows, are crafted from solid wood and feature hand-painted details in black and red on a natural wood-colored base. Each cow wears a jingling metal bell on a leather collar and has leather ears. The set showcases the artisanal woodcarving technique for which Trauffer is known.
