Original Danish Trapez pendant lamp, designed by Christian Hvidt for Nordisk Solar Compagni in the 1970s.The lamp is constructed from several layered shades in white lacquered metal/aluminium. This construction keeps the light source largely out of sight and reflects the light between the different shades, providing pleasant, soft and largely glare-free lighting.A beautiful detail is the red-orange inner reflector: hardly visible when the lamp is off, but once lit it provides a warm glow in the otherwise sober white lamp.A characteristic example of Danish lighting design from the 1970s: graphic and sculptural when off, atmospheric when on.Good vintage condition with light signs of wear appropriate for its age, including some small scratches and spots in the lacquer.
