Product description
⚖️ Tuscan Brass Scale — Italy, ca. 1930–1940 · Museum Condition
Ninety years ago, a Tuscan workshop cast this piece. It still looks exactly the same.
What you see here is rare: a large, heavy object of solid brass that has survived nine decades without a single break, crack, or missing part — and with a patina that only time can create.
Deep, layered, warm gold that fades to dark bronze in the shadows.
The design is inspired by a Roman model from MDXII (1512): monumental octagonal base, graceful scroll arms, numbered functional beam with sliding counterweight, and a brass scale hanging from decorated chains.
Everything is present.
Everything is intact.
Everything works.
📸 The photos speak for themselves — and do not lie. What you see is what you get: every detail, every curve, every shade of the patina is captured exactly as the piece looks.
No filters, no embellishments.
