A rare and highly decorative Teodora armchair designed by Ettore Sottsass for Vitra in 1987. The striking geometric frame is combined with a curved transparent Perspex backrest, while the distinctive graphic pattern gives the chair its unmistakable postmodern character. A sculptural statement piece and a strong example of Sottsass’s playful and radical approach to furniture design. About the Designer Ettore Sottsass (1917–2007) was one of the most influential Italian architects and designers of the 20th century and founder of the Memphis Group. His work challenged conventional modernism through bold forms, graphic patterns and unexpected combinations of materials and color.
