About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is the 'Truffle' Armchair, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud around the year 2000. This piece is characterized by its organic, shell-shaped silhouette and the striking perforated surface, which creates visual lightness. The Armchair consists of a glossy black plastic shell mounted on a swivel metal base. The perforated structure is not only an aesthetic feature but also contributes to the unique shape of the Armchair. Massaud's design for this piece is an example of the exploration of form and materiality at the beginning of the 21st century. The overall condition of the Armchair is good, with the character expected from a piece from this period. The surfaces have been preserved, and the swivel function is fully operational, underscoring the longevity of the design and construction. With its sculptural presence, this Armchair is suitable as a striking individual piece in a modern or minimalist interior. It can be placed in a living area, an office, or a reading nook, offering both functional seating and a strong design statement.
