Stringa Table lamp, designed by Dutch designer Hans Ansems for Luxo, in the early 1980s. The Stringa model is associated with the American design patent US Des. 283,361. This lamp is distinguished by its flexible black tubular structure, allowing its position and silhouette to be modified according to use. It can be widely extended, tilted, or brought back into its characteristic loop shape. Its perforated cylindrical head is adjustable, and its heavy base ensures excellent stability. 12 V – 50 W halogen lighting, with a transformer integrated into the base. The lamp originally had its technical label, which has now disappeared, but I have a photograph taken previously showing the mentions « Stringa », « BZ 18 », « 220 V ~ 50 Hz » and « LAMPE 12 V 50 W ». An old adhesive partially bearing the name Hans Ansems is also still present on the tube. The lamp is functional and in very good vintage condition. It shows only slight traces of use consistent with its age, visible in the photographs. Dimensions: Base diameter: approx. 14 cm Minimum height: approx. 55 cm Maximum height: approx. 100 cm A piece with a particularly singular design, representative of early 1980s European design and relatively uncommon on the market today.
