Motoko Ishii:
Motoko Ishii, born Oct. 15, 1938, is a lighting designer from Japan. In 1965, she went to Finland to study lighting design. Until 1967, she worked at lighting design firms in Finland and Germany. In Germany, Motoko Ishii studied architectural lighting. In 1968, she returned to Japan and founded the Ishii Motoko Design Office.
