About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This coffee table from the 1970s is a characteristic example of Space Age design. The design stands out due to its dynamic, layered composition and the use of contrasting materials typical of this progressive period in design.
The furniture is constructed from a chrome-plated tubular frame supporting three round tabletops. The top tabletop is made of smoked glass, while the three lower, rotating tabletops are finished in white. This construction not only offers a visual interplay of transparency and reflection but also ensures functional flexibility. The combination of silver-colored chrome, transparent brown glass, and white accents emphasizes the futuristic aesthetic of the design.
The table is in good condition commensurate with its age and use. The original finishes have been preserved, with the chrome retaining its shine and the glass intact, showing light signs of age.
This piece of furniture comes into its own perfectly in an eclectic or vintage-inspired interior. It functions as a striking centerpiece in a seating area, where it combines effortlessly with other Mid-Century Modern or Space Age elements.
