Pendant lamp produced by Vistosi on the island of Murano, Italy, during the 1970s. The fixture features a large, dome-shaped outer shade of translucent smoky brown glass, showcasing the clean silhouettes of mid-century Italian glass engineering. Nested internally is an integrated milk white opaline glass core that extends upward through a heavy brushed aluminum collar hardware assembly. When illuminated, the opaque inner core acts as the primary diffuser to soften direct glare, casting a warm, multi-layered gradient light through the smoky outer dome. Under the forward-thinking mid-century leadership of the Vistosi family, the legendary Murano forge combined legacy Venetian expertise with the organic, sculptural lines defining the Space Age design era. Suited for suspension above a dining table, kitchen island, or reading lounge arrangement. Excellent. The hand-blown glass components are free of chips, cracks, or deep scratches.
