DESCRIPTION Period tureen in solid First Standard sterling silver with a certified purity of 925 millesimal fineness, also conceived as a vegetable dish or centerpiece. Manufactured in Spain, circa 1940 - 1960, it stands out for a refined classical-influence design that faithfully follows the prestigious school and iconography of the Madrilenian master silversmith Alfredo Montejo. It features an oval form decorated with hand-repoussé gadroons, whose reliefs and inclination produce spectacular contrasts of light and shadow on the burnished silver. Notable features include its classical-style feet with acanthus leaf motifs, intricately chased side handles, and the top finial of the lid in the shape of acorns and leaves. This is a type of luxury craftsmanship made using die-striking, repoussé, and artistic casting techniques that currently commands extremely high interest for investors in authentic historical silverware.
