Vintage oval extendable dining table by Skovby, model 74, designed and manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s. This table is distinguished by the clever construction of the central base with two cylindrical legs that slide apart to reveal the extension system. The extensions are typically stored under the tabletop, allowing the table to be expanded from a comfortable six-person table to a table for up to twelve.
The design is highly functional and showcases classic Danish craftsmanship, combining solid wood elements with high-quality veneers. The leg construction is specially designed to provide maximum legroom, so chairs don't get in the way.
