Sixinch Offshore 20-piece modular design lounge set taupe vintage
Large 20-piece XL design lounge set made of foam with outdoor coating and rotationally molded plastic bases in TAUPE, by SIXINCH, which is modular and consists of elements all with the same surface area of 80 by 80 cm.
Can be used indoors and outdoors.
The bases are modularly stackable and connectable.
A Sixinch lot with a serious setup that allows you to create amazing formats. Think of a gigantic lounge sofa over 11+ meters long, or an impressive corner sofa or U-shape, with the addition of 6 basic elements that can be filled in yourself. Place a wooden panel or glass bath on them and you immediately have matching, industrial lounge tables, side tables or corner platforms between the sofa elements!
The chairs have acquired a very beautiful unique patina that resembles concrete cement (concrete look), sometimes suede or velvet velour, depending on how the light falls.
This unique, concrete-cement-like patina seamlessly aligns with the popular Wabi-Sabi philosophy and the recognizable, understated greige taupe aesthetic of designers such as Piet Boon, Rick Owens. It is the ultimate combination of raw, industrial imperfection (think Piet Hein Eek) and high-end comfort.
Which perfectly matches the industrial, minimalist aesthetic of the Sixinch Offshore Series. Precisely this taupe color in combination with that texture gives the furniture a raw, architectural and at the same time soft character.
Sixinch's Flexplus coating is a flexible, seamless plastic layer. Outdoors, the coating reacts to UV light, rainwater and superficial dirt. This penetrates very slightly into the top layer, creating exactly that lively, cloudy concrete effect you see now. Many designers and enthusiasts find this more beautiful than a clinical, even foam look.
2 elements have a more noticeable damage that can be professionally repaired; A waterproof spot-repair on 1 corner and a clean-cut tear to be filled at the edge to become optically almost invisible afterwards.
Set consists of the following elements:
12 x Offshore straight (straight seating elements). 80 x 80 x 73 cm H, seat height 40 cm
2 x Offshore straight with armrest (corner elements), left and right. 80 x 80 x 73 cm H, seat height 40 cm
6x Offshore plastic bases/basic elements (3x taupe and 3x white), to be filled as a coffee table with, for example, wood/glass/plastic, 80 x 80 x cm H
New, a set of this size (14 foam elements + 20 bases) would quickly cost € 35,000,- ex. VAT on a project basis.
