Elegant set of two antique bentwood café chairs by Fischel, featuring the original paper maker's label under the seat. Produced in Austria at the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century, these chairs are beautiful examples of classic Viennese bentwood craftsmanship. The chairs feature gracefully curved steam-bent wooden frames with turned spindle backs and woven webbing seats, perfectly combining lightness, elegance, and timeless functionality. The rich dark patina and subtle signs of use give the chairs an authentic antique charm and a warm appearance. Alongside Thonet, Fischel was one of the leading manufacturers of bentwood furniture and was known for high-quality café chairs used throughout Europe.
