Private sellerProduct description
Set of six Gispen Dining chairs, model S02, designed by Peter Ghyczy for the Dutch manufacturer Gispen. These chairs are a characteristic example of Dutch Design, where functionality and clear aesthetics come together. The set consists of a beautiful combination of colors, with three chairs in a vibrant red hue and three in a fresh, lime green color. The design of the S02 chair is characterized by a slender, continuous sled frame, which provides a slight spring and a modern silhouette. The seat and backrest are upholstered with a durable, woven wool fabric. The backrest is innovatively attached to the frame, allowing it to flex, a detail typical of Ghyczy's work. This construction not only offers visual interest but also contributes to seating comfort. The overall condition of the chairs is good, testifying to careful use over the years (16 years of use). The original upholstery is intact and shows minimal signs of wear, and the frames have retained their shine well. The set is consistent in quality and immediately ready for a new destination. This set of Gispen chairs is an excellent choice for a dining room with a modern or eclectic interior. The combination of red and green offers a unique opportunity to add color and character to the space.
