Set of 5 vintage Ingram Dining chairs, after the famous design by the Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Mackintosh designed the Ingram chair around 1900 for the Ingram Street Tea Rooms in Glasgow. The design is recognizable by the high graphic backrest, the two vertical slats with square cutouts, and the oval handle at the top.
These vintage reproductions are made of black finished wood with a beautiful visible wood grain and have blue mottled fabric seats. The combination of the sleek black frame and the bright blue gives the chairs a distinct graphic character.
The chairs are sturdy and in good vintage condition. There are normal signs of wear on the black wood, including some small scratches and spots on the edges. The upholstery is neat. See the detailed photos for a good impression of the condition.
Not a Cassina version; manufacturer unknown.
