Bring a touch of nostalgia into your home with this set of three old English brass 'toasting forks'. These forks are not only functional but also a beautiful decorative piece. Each fork features a unique design, ranging from a detailed portrait of the Scottish poet Robert Burns to a charming donkey from Clovelly and Bonzo the dog.
Details and dating (AI):
- The ring on one side of Bonzo the dog (1930s-1940s?) is loose.
- The donkey (c. 1884) is marked "CLOVELLY" and "17650" on the back.
- The portrait is marked "ROBERT BURNS" and "10089 Rd No 673904" on the back, as well as "Rd No 673904" on the back of the fork, the tines of which are largely worn down. (1920s-1930s)
Ideal for toasting marshmallows or bread by the fireplace or campfire.
