Superb set of 6 liqueur glasses and shooters, mid-century collector's items.
Origin and Historical Context:
This lot of humorous alcohol glasses illustrates the atmosphere of 1950s bistros and bars. The screen-printed graduated gauge derisively contrasts tasting doses for women (Ladies), men (Gentlemen), and the ultimate level represented by an embossed enameled pig.
Manufacturing Technique:
Remarkable fine glasswork. The glasses feature a flared rim enhanced with fine gold gilding on the upper edge, as well as a solid base highlighted by a wide gold band. The decorations of small pigs and white dots are made of high-temperature fired enamel.

Item Condition:
The set is preserved in excellent vintage condition. The glass is perfectly clear, the enamel of the illustrations is crisp and shiny, and the gilding on the edges has retained all its luster.
