Product description
Original set of four bentwood armchairs designed by Antonín Šuman and produced by TON in Czechoslovakia in 1988.
The chairs feature cream-painted bent beech frames with their original muted red-pink upholstered seats. Šuman adapted an earlier Thonet bentwood form, modifying the armrests to give the design a cleaner, more modern profile.
The chairs retain their original finish and upholstery. There are light scratches, marks and areas of wear to the painted frames consistent with age and use, which we have deliberately preserved as part of their character. The original upholstery has been carefully cleaned and remains in good usable condition.
All four chairs have been checked and cleaned and are structurally sound and ready for use.
