Product description
Splendid and very pop set of 3 vintage egg cups
with a typically Space Age design, produced in West
Germany by the illustrious Kayser manufacturer in the
1970s.
These iconic table pieces are distinguished by
their asymmetrical aerodynamic rhombus (or wing)
shape (or wing), executed in rigid molded plastic
of a brilliant and intense ruby red color. The
central basin holds the soft-boiled egg, while the
wide beveled base serves as an integrated receptacle for
placing a spoon or collecting shell pieces.
Each end is enhanced by two small contrasting white
pellets embedded in the material, an essential graphic
signature of this series.
The reverse side features its factory markings engraved in relief
with perfect clarity: the cursive signature of the
brand "Kayser", the registered design mention "ges. gesch."
as well as its period provenance "W. Germany".
