This set includes three Philips luminaires, designed to be used as wall or ceiling lamps. Made in Belgium in the 1950s, these spot lights illustrate the functional and industrial design of the post-war period, a time when Philips was at the forefront of lighting innovation. Each spot light consists of a light grey lacquered metal shade, mounted on a matching base via a chrome-plated metal ball joint that allows the light to be oriented. The inside of the shade is white for optimal light reflection. The fabric wiring appears original, testifying to the authenticity of these pieces. The original "Philips made in Belgium" sticker is still present on one of the bases, confirming their provenance. The general condition of these luminaires is good, with a patina that reflects their history and age. They retain their original finish and vintage character. The design of these spot lights was often associated with infrared lamps, as evidenced by the "Infaphil" bulb visible in one of the photos, but they can be fitted with standard bulbs. These versatile spot lights integrate perfectly into an industrial, Mid-Century Modern or vintage style decor. They can be installed together to create a focal point or separately to illuminate specific areas of a living room, office or hallway.
