Set of three old small 25 cl tinted green and blue-green glass bottles, each retaining its mechanical swing-top closure with metal bail and porcelain stopper. These bottles bear witness to an era when containers were truly part of the distribution circuit. Used notably for beers, lemonades, sparkling waters, and other beverages, they were returnable, collected, washed, and refilled. Their mechanical closure allowed for preserving the drink while making the bottle easily resealable. The three examples show attractive differences in manufacturing and tint. Two are made of deep green glass, while the third has a beautiful blue-green color and slightly irregular glass that gives it a lot of character. This last one also bears the inscription "25 CL" molded into the glass and retains its old red gasket. Together, they form a charming set of old popular glassware, evocative of the cafés, grocery stores, breweries, and lemonade stands of the first half of the 20th century. Good overall condition for their age. All three bottles retain their porcelain stopper and metal closure system. The sealing gaskets are missing on two bottles and would simply need to be replaced if one wishes to use them with an airtight seal. Some natural signs of wear and patinas of time are present. Capacity: 25 cl. Height approximately 20 to 21 cm.
