Beautiful pair of vintage porcelain vases in the traditional Japanese Satsuma style. This set is richly and detailedly decorated with images of Oriental sages (Immortal Sages), surrounded by floral motifs and wavy relief patterns (moriage technique). The gold-colored accents give the vases a luxurious and warm appearance. The underside features the red export stamp "FOREIGN", indicating import from the mid-century period (1950s/60s/70s). Ideal for expanding an existing cabinet set, or as a decorative set on a bookshelf or dresser.
