Set of two generous vintage cognac leather club chairs / lounge armchairs with a warm, characterful patina and a beautifully rounded barrel-back silhouette.
The chairs are upholstered in genuine Cuoietto Cognac leather: a firm yet supple leather with depth, warmth and natural variation. Over time, the leather has developed a rich vintage patina. The visible signs of use are part of the appeal of this set: not a sterile new showroom look, but real lived-in leather with character, softness and depth.
What makes these chairs especially attractive is the combination of the rounded shell shape, dark piping, low stance and solid construction. The chairs sit low and firmly in the room, giving them a compact, luxurious and timeless presence. The low feet also make them practical in use, as very little dust can collect underneath.
The craftsmanship is visible in the tailored upholstery, the sturdy build, the curved back and the generous loose seat and back cushions. They are very comfortable chairs, suitable for long evenings, reading, relaxing or creating a warm interior corner.
The set fits beautifully in a vintage, classic, neo-classical, rustic, country-style or eclectic interior. They would work very well in a reading corner, library, fireplace room, lounge area or stylish living room.
The chairs come from an estate and were purchased at Kok Wooninrichting in Amersfoort. The original purchase invoice is available and mentions two fauteuils in Cuoietto Cognac leather. Private details will of course be covered if shown.
Condition: good vintage condition with normal age-related wear and visible patina. The signs of use have been photographed deliberately so the condition can be judged honestly. The chairs are structurally solid, comfortable and ready to use.
