The history of the Panton Chair begins in the second half of the 1950s, when Danish designer Verner Panton developed the idea of a cantilevered plastic chair. However, manufacturers were unwilling to follow him in this bold concept. Willi Fehlbaum, the founder of Vitra, was interested in the idea but only gave his approval late, when his product managers visited Panton and returned full of enthusiasm. The design grew into one of the most iconic chair designs of the twentieth century! Quantity: this set is unique and only 1 set in stock
