Set of 2 Bentwood “Angel” Chairs, 1940s–1950s
Unknown manufacturer (not marked)
Price is for both chairs
A beautiful pair of bentwood chairs, often referred to as “Angel” chairs, dating from the 1940s–1950s.
Crafted from stained beech wood, these chairs reflect the classic Central European bentwood tradition. While not produced by Thonet, they were likely made by one of the many competing manufacturers active during that period, offering similar quality and design.
The solid wood frames have been carefully restored and finished with oil to enhance the natural grain.
The seats feature newly handwoven Vienna cane, giving them a fresh yet authentic look.
Both chairs are in very good vintage condition, with sturdy frames and no loose joints.
