More than just a vase, this free-form piece is a true enameled sculpture by Marius Bessone (circa 1955-1960). Its organic, hollowed-out design, typical of Vallauris' golden age, makes it a beautiful decorative object.
Type: Art ceramic, sculptural vase with a double hollowed-out handle, anthropomorphic silhouette.
Enamel work: Reaction technique known as "Cratères" with a rough texture contrasting with a polychrome decoration in oil-based enamels (orange, yellow, blue).
Dimensions: Exceptional height of 43 cm, width 23 cm, depth 10 cm
Signature: Hand-incised in relief "Bessone Vallauris".
Condition: Very good condition, with only a tiny chip in the enamel on the rim (see photo), very discreet and easily repairable, without affecting the structure.
To be collected in the Clermont-Ferrand area, Oise department.
