Charming covered sugar bowl in Bavarian porcelain made by the German manufacturer Schumann in Arzberg, bearing a crowned mark with the number 89 on its base. The piece features a particularly elegant shape, with a rounded body generously adorned with rocaille reliefs, two small scroll handles, and a scalloped foot. The lid echoes this movement with an undulating rim and a lovely molded finial, the whole being delicately highlighted with gilt lines. A very beautiful polychrome floral decoration unfolds on the ivory porcelain, composed of roses, pansies, and small wildflowers gathered in garlands and bouquets. The various motifs distributed around the piece give it a lot of charm without weighing down its silhouette. The Schumann Arzberg Bavaria mark visible on the base dates this production to around . Despite this relatively recent dating, its design remains deliberately inspired by the great classical and rocaille forms of European porcelain. The sugar bowl measures approximately 14 cm in height, with an opening of about 9 cm. It retains its original lid and is in very good overall condition. Some slight signs of age and minor irregularities in the gilding are visible, as shown in the photographs, without significant damage.
