Stunning designer lamp by Herda, a silver-bronze ceiling lamp with white/cream enameled interiors (presumably enameled) seen from below. It's adjustable using the famous Italian "Rolly" retractable cable system by pulling the handle on the bottom of the lamp and pushing it upward. The rings are likely made of stainless steel, possibly aluminum, but we're not sure. Made in the 1960s and 1970s, it features a beautiful design in the style of Philips, Poulssen, Carl Thore, Jo Hammerborg, Fog, and Morup. The lamp is also listed internationally as Lakro, but if you look at our "sold" items, you'll see a virtually identical lamp with the original Herda label. Therefore, we refer to this lamp as the manufacturer/designer Herda Amsterdam. The lamp has been completely disassembled for cleaning and inspection. If you wish, we can provide you with information on how to disassemble the lamp should you need to replace anything. The lamp will be shipped insured and will receive optimal packaging (a slight additional charge applies). We assume no risks for you as a customer or us as the seller.
There are some signs of wear (some minor scratches, spots, dimples, and some sliding marks here and there). We have tried to photograph everything, so we may have missed something here or there. In our opinion, the lamp deserves a solid 8.3 out of 10. Additional dimensions: the lamp is adjustable in height from the ceiling (approximately 62-63 cm to approximately 120 cm).
