Italian designer sofa from the 1970s, attributed to Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Italia.
Sculptural two-seater with a characteristic curved silhouette and wide, outward-curving side panels. The seat and back cushions have been reupholstered in striped Sahco velvet in shades of soft green, ochre, and grey-blue. The base and side panels are finished in a cream woven fabric.
Origin
Saporiti Italia is the Italian furniture house that collaborated with designers such as Giovanni Offredi, Alberto Rosselli, and Vittorio Introini starting in 1948. Offredi designed, among others, the well-known Onda and Wave models for Saporiti.
Condition
Good vintage condition and sturdy construction. The striped velvet is intact and in fine condition. The cream fabric of the base and side panels is yellowed in places and slightly stained; this is visible in the detail photos. No tears, holes, or structural defects. Dimensions
