Product description
What makes this table unique is the stunning two-tone contrast. The main tabletop is beautifully veneered with dark walnut. When the table is fully extended, the extension leaves appear, finished with a warm, deep mahogany veneer. The veneer is not seriously damaged anywhere, and the construction is very solid. Both extension leaves feature the original, inlaid brass Ruscheweyh Tisch brand plate on the top. This iconic logo with the stylized ‘R’ guarantees the authenticity and early provenance of this piece of furniture. When retracted, the table is only 127 centimeters long; this can be extended to a maximum of 222 centimeters. The table has recently been sanded and treated with high-quality furniture oil. This allows the beautiful, contrasting wood grain to come into its own perfectly. This table is in beautiful vintage condition with light, characteristic signs of use appropriate for its age. Any particulars or defects have been incorporated into the photos or text.
