Product description
This charming vintage vase dates from the West Germany era of the 1960s or 70s and impresses with its eye-catching combination of brown and black glaze with a bright red running glaze element in the belly area. The striking glaze technique makes each piece unique - a must-have for collectors and lovers of unusual Mid - Century ceramics.
Ruscha Keramik was initially founded in 1905 by Georg Schardt in Rheinbach under the name Klein & Schardt. When his son Rudolf Schardt took over the company in 1948, it was renamed Ruscha and produced until 1996. Ruscha was one of the leading factories in the ceramics era and produced masterpieces that are still highly sought-after today.
The model number 851-20 is embossed on the base and indicates a height of approx. 20 cm. Ideal as a small decorative vase on sideboards, shelves or in combination with other West Germany vases.
