Product description
This is a striking art object by the Dutch artist Roy van der Laars, titled 'Broken Brick' from the 'Criminal Minds' series. The work is designed as a side table and combines provocative themes with a sleek, modern aesthetic.
The object consists of a transparent sheet of epoxy or plexiglass, into which various elements have been cast. Visible are, among other things, replicas of banknotes, bullet casings, and a block with a scorpion motif, referencing the title 'Columbia'. The sheet rests on a minimalist metal frame with a silver-colored finish. The artwork features a gold-colored signature plate from the artist.
The entire piece is in excellent condition and displays the original finish. The cast objects are sharp and detailed, testifying to the careful construction of this unique piece.
This artwork functions both as a sculpture and a functional side table. It fits perfectly into an eclectic or modern interior, where it will undoubtedly serve as an intriguing conversation starter.
