For sale is an exceptionally beautiful, original and completely preserved 15-piece coffee service from the traditional porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal with the unmistakable illustrations by the French artist and draftsman Raymond Peynet.
The service captivates with its exceptional and charming imagery, featuring the romantic motifs characteristic of Raymond Peynet. The individual porcelain pieces show, among other things, loving couples, musical angels or putti, birds, musical notes, bows, and delicate pink hearts.
Particularly impressive is the large coffee pot with its elaborately designed scene of a loving couple, surrounded by putti and other finely drawn details.
The individual pieces feature different, yet perfectly coordinated illustrations, creating an exceptionally harmonious overall picture.
Raymond Peynet (1908–1999) became internationally known primarily for his famous depictions of lovers and also designed motifs for Rosenthal from the mid-1950s onwards.
The completely matching coffee service with a large coffee pot, sugar bowl, milk jug, and six cups and six saucers is in exceptional condition – like new.
Completely preserved Rosenthal-Peynet coffee services with the large service pieces are much rarer to find today than individual cups or other single items.
