Elegant and substantial table lamp by Romeo Rega, Italy, dating from the 1970s.

The lamp features a striking rectangular base in finely veined grey, blush pink and cream marble, carefully cut to showcase the highly decorative natural pattern of the stone. A discreet applied Romeo Rega double-R emblem is mounted to the lower front of the base.

The restrained geometric form of the marble body is complemented by a large rectangular shade in dusty rose raw silk, creating a particularly harmonious combination of colour, texture and material. The shade appears to be original to the lamp and retains its period character.

The lamp is fitted with two light sockets, allowing the bulbs to be illuminated individually or together, providing two different levels of light. The internal metal fittings and shade support are consistent with the original construction.
