Magnificent large relief painting created using the meticulous handcrafted technique of Art Français (sometimes called 3D cartonnage). This involves cutting, thermoforming, and multi-layer superposition, offering a striking effect of depth and flotation to the naked eye. Characteristics of the artwork: Subject: Classic still life (porcelain, fruits, glassware, and teapot), based on the original work by painter M. Garcia (signed and dated 1993 in the lower right). High-end finish: Glossy varnish with an "enamel / ceramic" effect on certain pieces of tableware to accentuate realism and catch the light. Dimensions: 50 x 40 cm (total dimensions with frame) Art framing: Dark and gold solid wood "box" frame, equipped with a superb double-beveled beige mat board with accent borders (green and gold). Condition: Excellent general condition. The back is fully sealed with framer's tape to make the box dust-proof, and equipped with a robust hanging cord. Ideal for a classic kitchen or dining room decoration, or for a collector of art craftsmanship.
