The Red-Blue Chair is Rietveld's most famous piece of furniture. Rietveld's first design for this chair dates from 1917, after which he created the first prototype in 1918. With this armchair, Rietveld reduced the traditional armchair to 13 slats with a square profile, two armrests with a rectangular profile, and two rectangular panels forming the seat and backrest. With this design, he stripped the traditional chair of its volume and emphasized functionality. NEW IN BOX
