Condition: very good considering its age! The black strap on the drawer is still firmly attached and does not come loose.
I estimate the age at at least 65 years (period 1950-1960, origin from the Netherlands).
Rare small Tomado shelf. In the first models from the 1950s. The original patina and traces of time bear witness to this.
This wall rack is an iconic design by the Dutch manufacturer Tomado Holland, dating from the heyday of post-war modernism. The piece of furniture combines a minimalist design with a striking color scheme, making it a recognizable and sought-after object within the canon of Dutch Design.
The construction consists entirely of metal, with the characteristic wire steel side panels executed in a white finish. The shelves and the rarer drawer unit at the bottom are finished in a soft pink shade. The system is designed modularly, which is typical of Tomado's functional approach. The manufacturer's authentic stamps are clearly visible, stamped into the metal, confirming the provenance and originality of the piece.
