A genuine and rare pair of traditional headrests known as "opium pillows," crafted from fine, heavy porcelain. Each piece weighs a substantial 1514 grams (1.514 kg) and boasts generous dimensions of 29 cm in length, 16 cm in height, and 12 cm in width. The base retains its two original air vents, characteristic of the traditional firing of handmade porcelain. Unlike common models sold individually, this is a complete and inseparable symmetrical pair (the two children face each other, one to the left, the other to the right), a collector's set extremely difficult to find in this large format. Each piece symbolizes good fortune and prosperity. The blue and white decoration is exquisitely hand-painted, depicting peony blossoms, scrolling foliage, and stylized clouds. These vintage decorative objects are in pristine condition, without any cracks or chips. Ideal for adding a touch of Asian or high-end "chinoiserie" style to a sideboard or shelf.
