Exceptionally rare cocktail or bar cabinet from the late Art Deco/Mid-Century period, presumably Germany or Central Europe, circa 1950s. This high-quality mobile cocktail cabinet impressively combines luxurious materials, architectural elegance, and an exceptionally sophisticated interior construction. When closed, the piece appears as an elegant sculptural solitaire with warm fine wood veneers, gently rounded edges, and finely crafted Viennese cane. However, when opened, the cabinet transforms into a fully equipped cocktail and entertainment station with mirrored doors, integrated glass holders, original glass shelves, an insulated cooling/ice compartment, fold-out serving surfaces, and generous storage space for bottles and bar accessories. Particularly noteworthy is its exceptionally complete original condition: – original "Ilse" locks and fittings – original mirrored glass doors – original glass holders – integrated insulated cooling/ice compartment – original glass panels – original cocktail glasses – functional castors and mechanism. The light interior veneer with beautiful grain creates a spectacular contrast to the warm exterior body and, when open, produces an almost stage-like effect.
