This is an antique textile yarn counting device (linen, cotton, silk, wool), used in spinning mills and textile laboratories to determine yarn count according to the metric system. The large "Metric Nos" graduation with a scale up to 500 meters testifies to its professional use. The instrument is complete with its cast iron tripod base with adjusting screw, its large graduated sector, and its original mechanism. The manufacturer's plate is present. It is in excellent condition with an authentic patina.
