An exceptionally rare French haberdashery display cabinet produced for Laine Du Pingouin, one of France’s most iconic wool manufacturers. This professional shop display was manufactured by Cartonnages Mulliez-Richebé of Lille, as confirmed by the original maker’s label preserved underneath the cabinet. The cabinet retains all 10 original drawers, its embossed faux crocodile paper covering, original printed advertising graphics and several original internal cardboard dividers with wool colour references. A beautifully preserved survivor from a French mercery, displaying an authentic patina acquired through decades of commercial use. Ideal for collectors of advertising, antique shop fittings, industrial interiors or luxury retail decoration. One drawer slides slightly tighter than the others. Structurally sound and untouched.
